Quicken Loans Trial Wraps Up In Federal Court
DETROIT (WWJ) - Former employees seeking overtime from Quicken Loans are being portrayed as greedy liars during closing arguments in federal court.
Company lawyer Jeffrey Morganroth displayed photos of many plaintiffs and then slapped labels on them, such as ``lied,'' ``evaded'' and ``exaggerated.''
The case involves more than 300 people who worked the phones to peddle mortgages over a four-year period ending in 2006.
The long trial has centered on whether the work was mainly sales, which would qualify them for overtime.
