Police Still Trying To I.D. Man Killed In Crash

BERKLEY (WWJ) - Police are still trying to identify a man who died after his car burst into flames at 12 Mile Road and Greenfield in Berkley. Deputy Police Chief Robert North says Sunday night's fiery three-car accident sent two others to the hospital.

"It would appear that the deceased vehicle was struck from behind at a high rate of speed, both vehicles where then driven across Greenfield on 12 Mile Road from the Berkley side into Southfield," says North.

The Acura struck another vehicle, we are not certain at what point the car caught fire, but it did strike a third vehicle.

North told WWJ that there is a possibility they may bring charges against the driver of the car that  initiated the accident.

North says the fire destroyed the car and everything in it.  The two injured are reportedly in serious condition.
