BRIGHTON TWP. (WWJ) – A scary situation for a home owner in Brighton Township who called police while her house was being robbed.  WWJ Newsradio 950’s Greg Bowman has the story.

State Police Trooper Chris Grace says he and his partner were dispatched to a home in Brighton Township, responding a burglary in progress, with the homeowner inside her home.

“She was actually locked in her bedroom, 911 dispatch a great job, kept her on the phone, kept her talking, and describing where in the house she thought the person was, and she could tell that by the different sounds of house, where the floor was squeaking, she knew the different squeaks of her house,” says Trooper Grace.

Trooper Grace says they found a 20-year-old man in the living room of the home. The suspect was taken into custody, and is being held pending arraignment on home invasion and narcotics charges.
