It's Detroit's annual spring ritual and the biggest party of the year, The Detroit Tigers Home Opener. Join 97.1 The Ticket, Detroit's Sports Station and Radio Home for Tigers Baseball, at the 97.1 The Ticket Opening Day Block Party on Friday, April 8 in Grand Circus Park, downtown Detroit.

The Block Party runs from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Enjoy live music from Sgt. Rock on the Music Stage before and after the game, try out the interactive games, check out the merchandise in the Vendor Village and hang out in the View and Brew Tent with a cold beverage and watch the game.

97.1 The Ticket's Doug Karsch and Scott "The Gator" Anderson will broadcast from Grand Circus Park from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Valenti & Foster will pick up the broadcast at 2 p.m. from Gate A at Comerica Park leading up to 97.1′s pre-game coverage before the first pitch at 3:05 p.m. when the Detroit Tigers take on the Kansas City Royals.

Join 104.3 WOMC's Jim Johnson from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m and 99.5 WYCD's Chuck Edwards and Linda Lee from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at The Block Party.

Stop by and meet Syma Chowdhry, Lori Pinson and Randy Bhirdo from WWJ-TV's First Forecast Mornings and First Forecast Chief Meterologist Jim Madaus before the game.
