Airline Gives Detroiters A Chance To Win One Million Miles
DETROIT (WWJ) - Spirit Airlines is hitting the road this spring to host its first-ever Mega Miles Giveaway Tour as it visits more than 20 cities across the United States, including Detroit, giving away millions of miles along the way.
Everyone who signs up at www.getfreemiles.com receives 5,000 "FREE SPIRIT" frequent flyer bonus miles, as well as a chance to win one million miles during Spirit's visit to Detroit on May 9, 2011.
When you sign up, you'll have to fill out some basic information. Don't worry, you won't be asked to give up any financial information or credit card numbers. Once you have submitted your entry, you will get an automatic response to the email address you signed up with. Then, you will receive a certificate for 5,000 "FREE SPIRIT" frequent flyer bonus miles via email by June 15, 2011. But, you only have until May 4, 2011 to sign up.
We looked over the Terms and Conditions of the offer, just to make sure there weren't any hidden stipulations. According to the rules, in order to receive the 5,000 "FREE SPIRIT" miles, you must have an active "FREE SPIRIT" account registered to the email address used to enter the giveaway. If you do not have a "FREE SPIRIT" account, you may sign up for one within ten days of
registering for the giveaway at this website in order to receive the offer. The "FREE SPIRIT" account is free to sign up for. Again, you will not be asked for any financial information.
A few days before Spirit's arrival at Metro Airport, 750 of those who have registered will be randomly selected and notified via email to participate in Spirit's wacky Luggage Chuck contest for the chance to win one million frequent flyer miles.
The Spirit Airlines Luggage Chuck is taking place at Detroit Metro Airport's Berry Terminal on May 9, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with finals at 8:00 pm.
Participants will have the opportunity to throw a piece of luggage into a designated target. Those who are successful will go on to compete in the finals at 8:00 pm where one person will win one million miles. That's enough for up to 200 round-trip tickets!
Once you've registered, you can go to this website and log-in one time a day for additional entries to be one of the 750 people who get to compete for one million free miles.
