HARPER WOODS (WWJ) – Harper Woods voters being asked May 3rd to approve a change to their city charter that would combine their police and fire departments into one department of public safety.

The firefighters’ union does not believe City Hall’s claim the merger would save up to $700,000 dollars a year.

It’s only the fire union that opposes the merger. Because it wants to continue to rape the city in overtime abuses.
