Titanic Exhibit Will Mark A Century Since Sinking Of Ship
DETROIT (WWJ) - Ninety-nine-years ago ... April 15th, 1912... the world's largest ship sank after colliding with an iceberg, claiming more than 1,500 lives.
Marking the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, The Henry Ford in Dearborn will host the largest touring exhibition of artifacts from the big ship. The exhibit will arrive in March of next year.
Some 10,000 square feet in size, the exhibit features more than 300 artifacts - 250 of which have never been displayed in Michigan.
The Henry Ford Museum is using the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic to announce a new exhibit aimed at those enthralled by the ship's story.
