Man Guilty In Port Huron Machete Attack

PORT HURON (AP) - A jury has found a Sanilac County man guilty in a machete attack in Port Huron that left two people dead and two others wounded.

The Times Herald in Port Huron reports the jury's verdict Friday in the case against 35-year-old Jorge Diaz Jr. of Lexington. Diaz was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of assault with intent to murder, arson and assault with intent to rob while armed.

Fifty-year-old Laura Arnold and 56-year-old Johnnie Lee Grafton were killed last August in a Port Huron home.
