Fitness Writer & Trainer: Write Down What You Eat To Aid Weight Loss

DETROIT (WWJ) - You are what you eat and you really are what you write down you eat.

Laurie Jerris, a fitness trainer for the last 18 years, says her new book "LoseItWrite"  is all about writing down everything you eat.

"It's not just what you're eating, it's when you are eating, why you're eating, where and how much. It's been shown that we under-estimate how much we eat by about 40%, so it's pretty amazing when you actually see it," says Jerris.

It's a simple principle that can be hard to stick with, but is so important says Jerris.

"The thing with this 'LoseItWrite' it's so simple it's silly. It only takes two and a half minutes a day to record every bite that you eat. But it is a long term commitment, and people are lazy, they want the weight to come off super fast, and they are almost willing to do anything to do it, and they fight with such a simple and effective tool to lose weight, like writing," says Jerris.

Her new book is selling at area gyms - you can find out more at this link.
