Party Has A Purpose In Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - One Ann Arbor house party was planned as being open to the public Saturday night.

It's called a "Party With A Purpose."  And the event's Spokeswoman Jihan Nicholas says the party was held at her residence on Walnut Ridge Drive in Ann Arbor.

She says there was an entrance fee of $25 dollars but all the proceeds go to orphans in Lebanon.

"We found that every dime donated to this particular organization, goes to the child. So we felt like this would be the best usage for the money of everybody that is participating in the party," says Nicholas.

Nicholas says they planned a DJ for the event along with food catered by the Olive Garden and expected about 50 people to attend.
