Detroit History: Motor City Dominates The Indy-500

Ninety-five years ago, Detroit's Chevrolet Brothers rebuilt Ford Model-T's into souped up tire-smoking goers called "Frontenacs" that roared to victory at the Indy Speedway.

But the price of "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" glory was one brother's life, and career-ending injuries to another, whose Memorial is among the first things race day visitors see.
