After 7 Months, Still No Sign Of Missing Morenci Brothers

MORENCI (WWJ) - Nearly seven months after the disappearance of three boys from Lenawee County, the case is still very personal for the police chief of Morenci, Michigan.

Chief Larry Weeks says John Skelton knows what happened on Thanksgiving weekend to his three children, Alexander, Andrew and Tanner, and he sees the frustration on people's faces in Morenci. They want closure just as much as he does.

"I know them. I attend sporting events and community events with them ... and there's certainly an investment from a personal standpoint," Weeks said. "I know these people and I have great concern for 'em."

John Skelton, who's been locked up on kidnapping charges, claims he gave his sons to an "organization" to keep them safe. Weeks says recent public service announcements have already generated new leads in the case.
