Registration On For Top Summer Bike Ride

It's time to sign up for one of metro Detroit's premier cycling events: The Compuware Corp. Motor City Bike Ride benefitting Danialle Karmanos' Work It Out.

The ride takes place Saturday, July 16, from Campus Martius in downtown Detroit to Metro Beach in Harrison Township and back to Campus Martius. It's a 62-mile outing that will be fully supported with food, drink and emergency care.

Registration fee is $50, and riders are asked to raise $250 for Danialle Karmanos' Work It Out, a six-year-old non-profit that reaches hundreds of kids each year through 10-week yoga and nutrition programs with the goals of eradicating childhood obesity and promoting healthy body and minds.

The ride has spaces for 150 riders. For more information, and to register, go to www.active.com and enter "Compuware Corporation Motor City Bike Ride" in the search box.
