Online Tech Bolsters Support Staff with New Certifications and Hires

Ann Arbor-based Online Tech Inc. said it had increased its data center operations staff by 33 percent and added new partner certifications to their operations team in the first half of 2011.

Online Tech's team now consists of Microsoft, VMware, Dell & Cisco certified professionals.

"As our product lines and client base have continued to grow, we have made proactive strides to make sure our clients receive best-in-class data center hosting service," said Jason Yaeger, Director of Operations.

Since the beginning of the year, Online Tech has received Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Cisco Certified Network Professional, VMware Certified Professional and Dell Equallogic SAN certifications.

In addition to expanding the knowledge base of its operations team, Online Tech has added additional IT professionals to strengthen its around-the-clock support.

"As our client's needs have shifted to greater expectations of uptime and hands-on managed services, we have adjusted our staffing model accordingly," said Mike Klein, president of Online Tech. "We are continually looking for ways to drive our ticket response time down closer and closer to zero."

Klein reports that Online Tech's private cloud and managed cloud hosting services have allowed them to grow by more than 39 percent in 2011 and reinvest in their support team.

Online Tech serves a growing demand for data and computing capacity in small and mid-size businesses. Through its high availability SAS 70 data centers, Online Tech delivers a range of hosting services including colocation, managed dedicated servers, private cloud hosting, and disaster recovery. Online Tech's Michigan data centers operate under SSAE 16 compliance, allowing its clients to meet all of their PCI compliant hosting, HIPAA compliant hosting, and SOX compliant hosting needs.
