Go Treasure Hunting At Royal Oak's Annual Antique & Garage Sale

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - Put on your walking shoes and break out your treasure hunting hat. It's that time of year for the 36th Annual Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce Antique and Garage Sale.

More than 200 dealers will set up shop in the parking structure on Lafayette Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets for this two-day sale.

Sort through antiques, jewelry, vintage items, sports memorabilia, clothing and more for those rare treasures that truly take a distinguished eye to find.

New this year is a Moms-2-Moms Sale, where new and expecting moms alike can find great deals on baby and toddler items such as cribs, bassinets, strollers, high chairs, clothes and toys.

Creative Arts Studio will also be on hand in the new kids area of the garage, with arts and crafts,"Squirt The Shirt," wax hand casting, face painting and ceramic painting.

All the bargain hunting is sure to make you hungry, so check out the Kiwanis booth on the middle level for hot dogs and lemonade.

You'll have two days to peruse the sale, on Saturday from 9:30 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9:30 am to 5 pm. Admission is $2 for adults; children 12 and under are free.

Parking on Saturday is free for two hours in both attended downtown structures; parking on Sunday is free. For more information, visit royaloakchamber.com.
