Flash Flood Watch

DETROIT (WWJ) - A flash flood watch is posted in the Lenawee and Monroe County areas -- and a flood warning is posted for Washtenaw County -- as flooding could be a problem for the second morning in a row.

According to WWJ's Accuweather Meteorologist Dean DeVore, on Thursday the metro Detroit area saw a break in the action towards the end of the morning rush. Dean says he thinks the stormy weather will continue through the Friday morning rush and into the early part of the afternoon as showers and thunderstorms have lined up and are going to train over the same areas. Dean expects almost a repeat of Thursday, aggravating the flooding that the metro area experienced yesterday.

As far as the extended outlook, Dean says things should dry out by Friday afternoon and at this point, the weekend looks dry.
