"Call of Duty" Contest
It's a cool contest this weekend in Metro Detroit for "Call of Duty" fans.
NextWave Media Studios in Troy (950 Stephenson Highway) is hosting a Call of Duty: Black Ops Tournament on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Gamers will all have an opportunity to go head to head on a large movie projection screen coupled with digital surround sound.
Grand Prize is $300.
Organizer Jason Chapman, tells WWJ, "it's just like being IN the video game itself."
Chapman says "This is a tournament that is called Lone Wolf, which is one vs. one. We'll have pretty much like an NCAA bracket to allow the tournament to run smoothly. I expect each competition to take ten minutes. The actual tournament to take five hours."
Is this just a "guy thing?"
Chapman says no way. " There are some wickedly skillful girls out there that play this game, and I know a few that will be coming to this tournament."
It costs $25 to enter. For details check out http://www.nwave.us.com.
