Revisit Bob-Lo For 1st Annual Classic Vehicle Show

DETROIT (WWJ) - For anyone who's ever said "I wish I could visit Bob-Lo again," now is your chance! The first Annual Classic Vehicle Show will take place on the island on Saturday Aug. 13 from 10 am to 6 pm.

Displays will feature more than 175 pre-selected elite vehicles, including exotics, hotrods, rare racing vehicles, muscle cars, sports cars and specialty motorcycles. Trophies will be awarded to the most exceptional entries.

While cars are the main focus, there is much more to the inaugural event.

A collection of unique antique wooden boats will be on hand at the island marina. Vendors will serve local wines and food. Live music will be performed by the Scottish Society of Windsor Pipe Band and pop-rock singer Jody Raffoul, who has opened for artists such as Kid Rock, Nickleback, Bon Jovi and Uncle Cracker. Plus, you can even take a tour of the 272-acre  historic island in a horse-drawn carriage.

Tickets are $15 per person, which includes admission, parking, island transportation and ferry fees. Marina slips are available for those arriving by boat. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Rotary Club of Amherstburg.
