Online Tech Streamlines Data Center Management with Portal Updates

Ann Arbor-based Online Tech announced Tuesday the next generation of OTPortal, a Web-based client portal that provides a single, cohesive interface for remote management of colocated, managed, and cloud hosting servers at Online Tech's data centers.

The new release of OTPortal includes an updated user experience and a host of new features. Clients can now see their network configuration on a single screen, making it easier to manage firewall rules and IP addresses for each device. Additional features include the ability to easily upgrade server capacity online for more CPU, RAM, disk space, and managed services such as offsite backup with a few clicks.

"We developed our client portal to provide our clients an easy, convenient tool to remotely manage their servers," said Online Tech president Mike Klein. "While our support staff is always available 24x7, our next generation portal provides our clients a hassle-free way to self-manage their servers when they prefer to do so."

Drawing on more than 16 years of experience managing servers and data centers, Online Tech developed OTPortal to simplify remote server management. Provided to every colocation, managed server and cloud client at no additional cost, OTPortal's feature-rich dashboard delivers self-service, on-demand access to server monitoring, management and 24x7 customer support.

This release is Online Tech's third major update to OTPortal this year. Each phase of updates to OTPortal is carefully planned so that the implementation and rollout is seamless. With encouragement to provide feedback by phone, email, or through live chat, Online Tech is constantly looking for ways to improve their portal to better serve their clients.

Online Tech serves a growing demand for data and computing capacity in small and mid-size businesses. Through its high availability SAS 70 data centers, Online Tech delivers a range of hosting services including colocation, managed dedicated servers, private cloud hosting, and disaster recovery. Online Tech's Michigan data centers operate under SSAE 16 compliance, allowing its clients to meet all of their PCI compliant hosting, HIPAA compliant hosting, and SOX compliant hosting needs.
