Client Wins From August 17

Washoe County, Nevada Upgrades with Manatron's CAMA Software: Portage-based  Manatron Inc., a developer of integrated property tax and land administration software for governments worldwide, announced that Washoe County, Nevada, has contracted with Manatron to implement its computer-aided mass appraisal software, GRM customCAMA, to serve as its newly integrated property assessment system.  Manatron's GRM customCAMA is a comprehensive property appraisal software product and is the only completely customizable CAMA solution on today's market, offering multiple, tailored options for local government property appraisers depending on their unique, local needs. This combination of power and flexibility makes GRM customCAMA a popular choice for large and complex jurisdictions. When the Washoe County Assessor's Office reviewed options for upgrading its current property assessment system, the priority was to locate a vendor that offered a product with complete integration potential. Washoe County was already using Manatron's GRM customCAMA for personal property assessment, so selecting Manatron for the real property side (for real estate) offered a better integration potential and cost-savings. The county also selected Manatron due to its knowledge of government software, its technical resources and the company's stability and growth. Funding for the implementation came from the Assessor's Technology Fund – a dedicated pool of resources authorized from the state to upgrade technology in the Office of the County Assessor. Throughout the implementation process, Manatron will be preparing Washoe County for a more technically advanced future, as the product will allow the assessor's office to improve communication and interaction with the tax payers, while offering better methods of evaluation and use of resources. The software has an anticipated 2012 launch date. Manatron, now a Thomson Reuters company, provides software and services for governments worldwide to completely, fairly and efficiently assess real and personal property, and to bill and collect the related property taxes in their jurisdictions. Manatron's software manages the entire property life cycle, which includes land registry, cadastral mapping, deed recording, land records, GIS (Geographic Information System) integration, valuation, assessment administration, personal property, business licenses, cashiering, tax billing and collection, delinquents and tax sales and e-government. The company's corporate headquarters is located in Portage, Michigan, and has offices throughout the United States. The Manatron International headquarters is located in Silver Spring, Maryland, with additional offices in Kiev, Ukraine and Cochabamba, Bolivia. Manatron currently serves over 1,600 customers and manages approximately 45 million parcels. More at www.manatron.com.
