Jalen Rose Gets Out Of Jail Thursday

(Pontiac-WWJ) Ex-Michigan and NBA star Jalen Rose is set to walk out of the Oakland County Jail Thursday morning.

Rose, 38, entered the jail August second to begin serving a 20-day sentence.  He pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Rose crashed his Cadillac Escalade SUV in West Bloomfield Township last March. He and a female companion were unhurt.

In May, Rose admitted to a judge that he drank six martinis prior to the accident.

Rose was a member of U of M's fabled "Fab Five" basketball squad that played in two NCAA championship games in the 1990s. He went on to play 13 seasons in the NBA.

Prior to entering jail, the Detroit native told reporters he believed he would emerge from the experience a better person.
