City Of Southfield Holds Blood Drive

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - The City of Southfield and the American Red Cross will sponsor a community and employee blood drive on Tuesday, August 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Southfield Pavilion, located at 26000 Evergreen Road.

To donate blood, donors must be at least 17 years old, weight at least 110 pounds and be in good general health.

There is a particular need for the following blood types: O-negative, O-positive, A-negative, A-positive and B-positive.

Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling the Southfield Emergency Management office at 248-796-5990 or at www.redcrossblood.org.

Light refreshments will be served and prizes will be offered to blood donors.
