Lawrence Technological University Offers 15% Military Discount

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - Lawrence Technological University is paying homage to their active and inactive military students by giving them a 15 percent tuition discount for any program offered by the college.

Norma Julka, who works in the Financial Aid office at LTU, spoke with WWJ about why they're offering this incentive.

"This year we decided to make it across the board a tuition discount of 15 percent for any program for and veteran, whether they're able to receive VA benefits or whether they're retired."

Julka said the university is also planning a special welcome party for military students that will be held on Tuesday.

"We're just hoping to, you know, show a little appreciation for our Veterans and we want to recognize them. I mean, they've done some awesome stuff and a lot of them after this war are coming back, you know, they really, really need the help."

Julka said military students wanting to receive the discount should provide a copy of their DD214 along with their registration and admissions documents.
