Arts, Beats And Eats Goes For Record Setting Zumba Class

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - The threat of severe weather did not stop the flow of people to the Arts, Beats and Eats festival in Royal Oak where one of this year's big attractions was the Zumba contest.

Organizers hoped to get 1,500 people to join to break the Guinness World Record.

So were there enough Zumba dancers to break the record? WWJ spoke with Jon Witz, Producer of Arts, Beats and Eats to find the answer.

"We had over 900 hundred men and women, mostly women ... we came so close to breaking the world record for the world's largest Zumba class, we will do it next year, I am going on WWJ guaranteeing that," said Witz.
