Teleca Wheels out New Automotive Office in Detroit

MALMÖ, Sweden -- Teleca AB, a supplier of mobile software for the consumer electronics, automobile and mobile device industries, announced the opening of its new office in Farmington Hills to serve local automotive customers and develop new global business opportunities.

"This new office will strengthen our presence in the heart of the automotive industry in North America and provide our current and future customers with more timely service," said Tomi Rantakari, senior vice president for automotive at Teleca. "Teleca is a global leader in providing services in software platform's used by automotive companies for infotainment and the addition of Detroit to our global office network allows us further to serve our global customers locally whether they are in North America, Europe or Asia. Through this network Teleca serves our customers with the full range of our automotive targeted software services including head units, connectivity, telematics, aftermarket products or apps storefronts."

The 3,772-square-foot office will support a dedicated staff of 10 Teleca employees that specialize in automotive service delivery and sales. Since establishing the company in 2001 and expanding into North America in 2002, Teleca has grown its automotive business exponentially by adding a number of blue chip customers across OEMs and suppliers and partnering with leading chipset manufacturers and software providers.

"We plan to expand our clientele and service offerings by leveraging our wireless domain and multi-platform development expertise to build new relationships across the emerging players in the automotive industry.
