Eye Doc Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Teen Patient

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A Macomb County optometrist is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges of sexually assaulting a young patient during an exam.

WWJ's Pat Vitale reports the Macomb County Prosecutor's Officer has issued a two-count sexual assault warrant for Danny Brikho, a staff optometrist at LensCrafters in Roseville's Macomb Mall.

Brikho is accused of touching the 16-year-old girl's mouth with his penis. Investigators say he put three drops of medicine in her eyes and told her to keep her eyes closed for several minutes. The teen says she opened her eyes when she felt something touch her lip, and found the optometrist standing on a chair next to her with his pants down.

Brikho will be arraigned in Roseville's 39th District Court. He faces a ten-year felony as well as a two-year misdemeanor.
