Karmanos Named Chair of investMichigan Business Leadership Council: State Treasurer Andy Dillon has announced that Peter Karmanos, CEO of Compuware, will succeed Roger Penske as chairman of the investMichigan Business Leadership Council. InvestMichigan, a $335 million investment program developed through the State of Michigan Retirement Systems, is designed to generate competitive investment returns for the state pension funds and diversify Michigan's economy. The Business Leadership Council is a group of highly successful Michigan business leaders, who provide networking, counsel, and other hands-on support for the program's investment managers, Beringea, Credit Suisse, and Glencoe Capital as well as investMichigan companies. In less than three years, the program has invested more than $147 million in 26 Michigan-based companies.
