Jeff Riger: Jimmy Howard Talks About The 'Stache'

Tom Selleck, Rollie Fingers and Ned Flanders all have something in common. Not only are all three famous, but they all have great moustaches as well. And for that reason alone they must love the month of November. In case you didn't know, and I didn't know until recently myself, the month of November has been renamed by 'stache wearers everywhere as "Mo-vember" to honor the best 'staches out there. Now I'm not sure how long "Mo-vember" has been in existence, but I do know that the hockey world now will be forced to celebrate it as Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller is honoring "Mo-vember" with a stylish new goalie mask featuring pictures of his teammates all sporting penciled-in 'staches.

Now I have to admit that after doing some research, I found out that "Mo-vember" is not just some stupid created spoof to make fun of the 'stache, instead it's a month-long campaign to raise awareness and money for men's health issues. So Hiller, by creating the mask and growing a 'stache himself is doing his part to get the message out there.

After seeing the mask, I decided to go to Detroit's goalie Jimmy Howard to find out what he thinks of Hiller's new face gear. Watch the video below to find out what Howard thinks of the mask. He also discusses some of the better goalie masks out there and whether he's considering growing a mustache for "Mo-vember?" Ohh, I almost forgot, after reading about "Mo-vember", I, too, am going to grow a 'stache. What about you? It's for a great cause!
