HIGH 5IVE, The Drew Stanton Foundation Partners With Orchard Children's Services To Help Families In Need

DETROIT, MI – On Monday, November 7, 2011 High 5ive, the Drew Stanton Foundation, and friends from the Detroit Lions and Red Wings will be at Pizzeria Biga from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. serving food and having fun with restaurant-goers. The proceeds from the night will benefit the holiday shopping night High 5ive and Nate Burleson are planning for the children and families of Orchards Children's Services.

Attendees can bid on silent auction items ranging from signed sports memorabilia to a movie and comic book baskets to Zoo tickets. Pat Caputo and Dennis Fithian, from 97.1 The Ticket, will be broadcasting live from 6-7 p.m.

"Last year my teammates and I were able to take over 100 kids shopping and we are hoping to do the same this year," said Drew Stanton, quarterback, the Detroit Lions. "Having the ability to give back and make others dreams come true means a great deal to me."

Orchards Children's Services has been helping children and families for over 50 years. Orchard's nurtures children and youth by providing shelter, sustenance, life and educational skills and opportunities with programs and services that touch children from birth to young adulthood.

"When Drew approached us last year about hosting a holiday shopping night we were very excited," said Pamela Ayres, Director of Resource and Fund Development, Orchards Children's Services. "We are so honored to join forces again this year and we are really looking forward to another great night."

New this year is reserved seating. Reserved seating will be available at two times, 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. with the following two ticket options:

1. VIP Seating – $200 (up to 4 guests) – includes unlimited appetizers, salads, pizzas and non-alcoholic beverages.
2. General Admission – $65/ per person – includes unlimited appetizers, salads, pizzas and non-alcoholic beverages.

Reservations must be made by Friday, November 4 by calling Pamela Ayres at 248.593.1576.
Guests will not be able to order off of the regular menu – only the two dinner options are available.

Pizzeria Biga, owned by Luciano DelSignore, boasts a menu with authentic wood-burning Italian pizzas with Italian cured-meat toppings such as salami, speck, pancetta and duck prosciutto, salads, pastas and desserts, including house made gelato.

High 5ive's mission is to improve the quality of life for all people with varying disabilities through raising public awareness and inspiring individuals toward achieving personal goals which at one time seemed unattainable.
