Drew Stanton And His HIGH 5IVE FOUNDATION To Host Dinner At Pizzeria Biga In Southfield

ALLEN PARK, MI - On Monday, November 7, 2011, Drew Stanton and his High 5ive Foundaton will be at Pizzeria Biga (29100 Franklin Rd., Southfield). There will be two seatings at 5:30 and 7:30 and tickets are available in advance. Several Lions' teammates, including Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson, will join Stanton for the event. Some Red Wings players will be in attendance as well. Proceeds from the night will benefit the holiday shopping night High 5ive is planning for the children and families of Orchard Children's Services.

"Over the years I've had the pleasure to work with several charities and learned firsthand what it really means to help others," said Lions quarterback Drew Stanton. "Those experiences touched me and with having High 5ive, it gives me the ability to give back and make others dreams come true."

Orchards Children's Services has been helping children and families for over 45 years. Orchard's nurtures children and youth by providing shelter, sustenance, life and educational skills and opportunities with programs and services that touch children from birth to young adulthood.

"When Drew approached us about hosting a holiday shopping night with the children and families here, we were very excited," said Pamela Ayres, Director of Resource and Fund Development, Orchards Children's Services. "His foundation's mission is right along with ours and we are really looking forward to this partnership." Last year Stanton teamed with Nate Burleson to take 100 kids on a holiday spree. This year they hope to do the same.

Pizzeria Biga, Luciano DelSignore's newest restaurant, boasts a menu with authentic wood-burning Italian pizzas with Italian cured-meat toppings such as salami, speck, pancetta and duck prosciutto, salads, pastas and desserts, including house made gelato.
Individual tickets are $65 or you can purchase a table of four for $200.

High 5ive's mission is to improve the quality of life for all people with varying disabilities through raising public awareness and inspiring individuals toward achieving personal goals which at one time seemed unattainable.
