Unify Detroit Coalition Throws Free Community Health Fair

DETROIT (WWJ) - The Unify Detroit Coalition is hosting a free community health fair on Saturday, Nov. 12 at Russell Bazaar in Detroit.

Attendees will be offered free screenings and information for asthma, diabetes, cancer, HIV and other STD'S. They will also be offered free testing for hearing, vision, blood pressure, glucose, as well as body mass index and dental evaluations.

Flu shots will be available and vendors will be on hand to supply a variety of products and wares.

The Detroit Police Community Relations Department will supply free child booster car seats.

The first 100 seniors to complete the screening will receive a free bag of groceries. All others who complete the health screening will be entered into a raffle.

The health fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Russell Bazaar, located at 1600 Clay St. near I-75 in Detroit.
