Spartans 69, Arkansas Trojans 47
EAST LANSING (WWJ) - The Spartans get a confidence booster beating the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans 69-47 Sunday at Breslin Arena.
Michigan State now goes to 2-2 after losing to N. Carolina and Duke at the beginning of the season.
The Trojans played a foul ridden game - 16 fouls in the second half, compared to the Spartans who managed to stay under double digits in the final 20 minutes with 7 fouls to finish the game well ahead of Arkansas - Little Rock.
The Spartans scored 21 points on turnovers - Austin Thornton had a game high 13 points, Keith Appling scored 12 and Draymond Green dropped in 9 points in the Spartan win.
Trojan Will Neighbour scored a team high 11 points.
Spartans take on Milwaukee next at the Breslin on Wednesday.
