Southfield Swearing In Youngest Councilman In City's History

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WWJ) - The youngest councilman in Southfield history will be sworn into office Monday night.

At the age of 25, Jeremy Moss has already worked for Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence and two state representatives, and he says Southfield hasn't had a younger voice on council for a while.

"One of the interesting things that came out of Tuesday's election is that we also re-elected the oldest councilman in the state," Moss said. "Currently, Sidney Lantz is 91, so we'll have the youngest and the oldest serving together."

Moss says he will work to draw more people into the city and to infuse new technology into the city to move forward and cut costs.
