Duck Hunter Dies, 2 Rescued From Monroe County Waters
ERIE TWP. (WWJ/AP) - Police say a Fenton man has drowned and two others were rescued after their boat capsized along the Michigan-Ohio border during a rain storm.
Authorities say 75-year old Carl Jennings was duck hunting in Erie Township with two other men Tuesday when their boat overturned. Rescue crews found his body about two hours after they began searching near a public access point for Halfway Creek.
Authorities say two other men were rescued from the water and treated for exposure.
Morin Point firefighters and Monroe County sheriff's deputies used boats in the search. The Coast Guard also was involved.
