Novi PR Agency Seeks Online Votes In $1 Million Services Giveaway

NOVI -- The Novi public relations, marketing and social media firm Shazaaam Public Relations has closed the nominations for its $1 million services giveaway to nonprofits, and is now asking the public to vote for their favorite recipients online.

The firm, founded by entrepreneur Adrienne Lenhoff, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in business by giving 10 charities each $100,000 in pro bono services.

The Web site for the public to vote on which charities should receive the gifts is now open at www.shazaaam.com.

Voting will take place through Jan. 23. The 10 organizations with the most votes will each be the recipient of $100,000 in pro bono marketing, public relations and social media services.

In the event that a winning organization is unable or cannot accept Shazaaam's gift or does not respond to the agency's outreach, Shazaaam will then begin to reach out to the next runner-up in the voting.

Winning organizations will begin being contacted on Jan. 24.

During the nomination period in December, more than 140 worthy 501(c)3 organizations were named to the list.

Since forming in 2001, Shazaaam has awarded more than $3 million in pro bono services to help deserving organizations elevate their messages, mobilize thousands of supporters and raise millions of dollars.    "Since opening up the nomination process, we've been exposed to over a hundred worthy organizations each with a great story to tell," Lenhoff said. "We have the skills and the talent to help them amplify their messages and create greater awareness. Since forming Shazaaam, I have felt that it's important to be thankful for our clients and business growth and to also give back to those around us."
