The Belgian Red Cross is one of more than 178 National Societies of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, a worldwide action-oriented relief organization. The Belgian Red Cross-Flanders has 254 local branches supported by nearly 14,000 volunteers and collecting more than 400,000 units of blood each year.
