MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WWJ) – The new year means new construction slowdowns for drivers.

As early as Monday, M-DOT plans to start work on several overpasses on I-75 at 12 Mile Road. While the overpasses aren’t considered an immediate safety issue, engineers don’t want to wait until spring to make repairs.

The work will mean a lane closure in each direction for the time being.
