Body Found In Detroit House Fire

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit firefighters were called to a house fire on the city's westside - and once the flames were put out, a body was found inside.

The fire call came in Wednesday night from a neighborhood near Joy Road and Southfield. Once firefighters got a handle on the situation, they went inside the home on Brace Street and that's when they found the body, burned beyond recognition.

Investigators are now working to determine whether the fire was deliberately set in an attempt to cover up a murder.
