DETROIT (WWJ) – The port on the Detroit River could have a big effect on Michigan’s economic future.

John Jamian, director of the Detroit Wayne County Port Authority, will speak at the event.
“This is the time to work with the rail industry, the trucking and the highway industry – we have a world class airport and of course our port and bringing everything together in our own backyard we have a magnificent waterway that is capable of importing and potentially exporting anywhere in the world rights from our docks in downtown Detroit,” said Jamian.READ MORE: AAA Offers 'Tow To Go' Program During Memorial Day Weekend
