SOUTHFIELD — Polk, the Southfield information and database provider, said Wednesday it had entered into a business agreement with Boca Raton, Fla.-based CityTwist, one of the largest national email marketing companies in the United States, to provide proprietary in-market timing and consumer brand affinity data for integration into CityTwist’s marketing services for auto dealers.

This agreement enables dealers to more effectively target and measure the success of their email marketing campaigns.

CityTwist is using Polk data to help reach consumers that are in market to buy a vehicle, enabling more relevant message targeting, and therefore increasing the amount and quality of Web site traffic. This increased Web traffic ultimately results in more vehicle sales.

Since the integration of Polk make, model and garage predictor insight into its tools, CityTwist dealer clients across all vehicle categories — from value to ultra-luxury brands — have seen an increase in sales. In fact, CityTwist has seen a marketing cost per car sold of only $200 on average since the Polk integration. More than 200 CityTwist customers are enjoying the benefits from this integration since the program fully launched in mid-2011.
