TC's Frontier Named Preferred Distributor Of Money Saving Routers

TRAVERSE CITY -- Frontier Computer Corp. has been named a preferred North American Distributor for Peplink Multi-WAN Routers, a Hong Kong maker of Internet load balancing and virtual private network systems.

Fred W. Kopplow, director of marketing and business development at Frontier, said the Peplink equipment costs far less than traditional routers, while also making existing Web connections more reliable and efficient.

Some Peplink users, Kopplow said, have been able to cut thousands of dollars in spending on connectivity after getting the Peplink gear. He said the Peplink equipment "is solving some really challenging problems, especially here in Michigan, especially where costs are critical."

State and local governments, and industries such as the transportation, health care and education, have all enjoyed the benefits of lower costs and increased network reliability. This is accomplished through the elimination or reduction of high cost leased lines, and introduction of low-cost redundant DSL, cable, or wireless connections to support the network.

Frontier said it will be looking for Peplink resellers, and will add a Peplink store and reseller signup page to its Web site for the convenience of customers and resellers.

Under the new arrangement, Frontier will hold stock of the entire Peplink product line at its Michigan technical center, which means immediate shipment on most orders. In addition, Frontier's full in-house technical staff will offer service and tech support.

"I'm also very excited to announce that Frontier will be rolling out the first Peplink Customer Care program in North America with a 24/7 answering service and support ticket system," said Frontier CEO Steve Hawn. "With guidance and support from our knowledgeable sales and technical staff, our partners will have the opportunity to expand their business, capture additional revenue, and serve their customers' needs with great care."

Added Peplink general manger Keith Chau: "Frontier is well respected in the IT industry and has top quality sales and engineering professionals on staff. To assist their valued customers with trouble resolution, Frontier is rolling out a 24/7 customer care service plan. We are extremely pleased with this new program, and look forward to continuing our close relationship with the Frontier team and their endeavor to lower customers' Internet spending and ensure business continuity."
