Detroit Interested In Re-Signing Bertuzzi

--Wings general manager Ken Holland told M-Live.com that he would like to re-sign big forward Todd Bertuzzi, who is in the final year of a contract that pays him slightly more than $1.9 million a season. Bertuzzi has been refreshed since joining Pavel Datsyuk and Johan Franzen on the team's top line in mid-November. He is playing physical and producing points. He had nine goals and 22 points in his past 34 games.

--Forward Danny Cleary spent some time in the hospital Wednesday, fearing that a blood clot might result from a Baker's cyst (build-up of joint fluid that forms behind the knee) in his left knee that burst and leaked fluid into his calf. His leg was swollen and he didn't practice Wednesday, but he played Thursday and even scored a goal. He said it's been bothering him for eight weeks, forcing him to take a Synvisc injection.
