Mom & Son Arraigned In Death Of 12-Year-Old
DETROIT (WWJ) - A 19-year-old Detroit man and his mother have been arraigned on charges in connection with the shooting death of a 12-year-old Detroit girl last week.
Police say Joshua Brown shot through the door of Kade'jah Davis' home in an argument with Kade'jah's mother over a cell phone.
Police say Brown's mother, Heather, drove him away from the home.
Joshua Brown has been charged with first degree murder, while his mother has been charged with accessory after the fact.
The 36th District Court Magistrate, Steve Lockhart, said Heather Brown was grossly under-charged in the death of Davis.
Not guilty pleas were entered for Joshua Brown and Heather Brown.
Joshua Brown is held without bail.
Bond was set at $50,000 for his mother. They face a preliminary exam February 17th.
