Medical Billing Provider Picks Online Tech: Clinical Info Solutions, a Florida-based provider of healthcare medical billing for hospitals and physicians, has selected to host its proprietary Software-as-a-Solution client management system on the fully managed and HIPAA compliant cloud system of Ann Arbor-based Online Tech Inc. Online Tech's HIPAA compliant and fully managed cloud. CIS needed to find HIPAA compliant data centers to host their new proprietary client management system, Unik Practice. Built by Mulberry, Fla.-based Rimage Designs LLC for CIS, Unik Practice is a custom practice management and billing SaaS application that offers a secure Web-based provider portal as well as a custom billing workflow for the CIS team. Online Tech's managed cloud computing service offers flexibility and cost savings of the cloud combined with the security and data integrity of a SOC 2 and HIPAA audited environment. A HIPAA audit was completed last year by an independent Certified HIPAA Practitioner and Certified HIPAA Security Specialist and found Online Tech to be 100 percent compliant across all 54 HIPAA citations, 136 audited components and 19 HIPAA standards with the controls stipulated in HIPAA version 1.2.1. Online Tech meets all of the HIPAA requirements including the Code of Federal Regulations rules and regulations 164.308, 164.310 and 164.312. A documented policy has been written that reference these paragraph numbers. The policies state that one must protect the availability, integrity and confidentiality of PHI, have Business Associates Agreement with clients who have PHI, and report any violations of PHI misuse to the Office of Civil Rights.
