Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - Know before you go! Who wants to waste time by getting stuck in traffic? No one! Avoid the routes below and make the most of your weekend.

The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-75:

In Wayne County, the northbound Dix-Toledo ramp to southbound I-75 will be closed from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday for ongoing construction at the interchange. A detour will be posted for the ramp.

In Detroit, intermittent double lane closures on northbound and southbound I-75 at the Davison Freeway interchange from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday for detailed bridge inspections.

I-696:

In Macomb County, the left lane of eastbound and westbound I-696 will be closed at Van Dyke from 8 p.m. Friday until noon Sunday for sign work.

M-150 (Rochester Road):

In Oakland County, a single lane closure is scheduled daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on northbound and southbound Rochester Road between Romeo Road and University Drive for utility work. The single lane closures are expected daily until mid-March.
