Lynyrd Skynyrd, Paul Rodgers To Ignite 'Thrills In The Irish Hills Bike Festival'

IRISH HILLS (WWJ) - Legendary entertainers Lynyrd Skynyrd and Paul Rodgers will ignite the Jackson County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 14th as part of the Thrills in the Irish Hills Bike Festival.

This festival, to be held July 12-14 in Irish Hills, combines scenic motorcycle routes, local recreations and thrilling concert events. Scenic routes and winding roads lead motorcycle enthusiasts through a series of welcoming communities — each showcasing plenty of hospitality, such as live bands and special events.

Additional entertainment will be announced as the festival date approaches. Organizers hope to make the festival an annual event.

The festival is held in collaboration with Wheels of Thunder, a bike rally to honor the Armed Forces and Veterans of all ages, held in Grass Lake. Wheels of Thunder features a battle of the bands, custom bike builders, motorcycle stunt riders, live entertainment and more.

Festival wristbands, $23, will go on sale after a formal schedule is finalized. Attendees will receive discounts on lodging, concerts, products and services. Details can be found at ThrillsintheIrishHills.com.
