Tigers And Marlins Play To 3-All Tie

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - Rick Porcello pitched seven strong innings and Mark Buehrle was solid for six Monday as the Detroit Tigers and Miami Marlins played to a 3-all tie.

The game was stopped after 10 innings. It was Detroit's fifth tie this spring.

Porcello allowed one earned run and five hits. He walked one and struck out four in his longest exhibition outing.

Brennan Boesch and Jhonny Peralta homered off Buehrle, making his third spring start for the Marlins after signing a free agent deal in December. Buehrle gave up three runs and six hits, walking none and striking out five.

Hit hard earlier this spring, Buehrle lowered his exhibition ERA to 7.30.

Peralta went 3 for 3. Jose Reyes doubled for the Marlins.
