Compuware Publishes New Whitepaper, "Third-party Web Components: Five Ways to Mitigate Risks"

DETROIT -- Compuware Corp. Tuesday announced that it has published a new white paper titled "Third-party Web Components: Five Ways to Mitigate Risks."

The paper explores best practices and key success factors for using third-party Web components effectively.

To provide rich customer experiences, Web applications and sites increasingly depend on third-party components such as shopping carts, ads, customer reviews, web analytics, social networking, search engine optimization, video and many more. In fact, the average Web site typically includes components from eight or more different hosts. But if anything goes wrong, only one party will get the blame: you, the organization, as the owner or operator of the Web site.

This whitepaper outlines five ways organizations can mitigate risks for using third parties effectively; case examples demonstrating successful practices in action; and a checklist organizations can use to assess the relative strengths or vulnerabilities.

The Compuware Gomez platform is the industry's leading solution for optimizing the performance of Web, non-Web, mobile, streaming and cloud applications. Driven by end-user experience, Gomez provides a unified view across the entire application delivery chain, from a user's browser or mobile device, across the Internet or a corporate WAN, in the cloud, to inside the data center, eliminating blind spots from the First Mile to the Last Mile.
