Lions Sign One Year Deal With Kevin Smith

The Detroit Lions have signed a one year deal with RB Kevin Smith today.The details of the deal are not known.

Smith who was drafted by the Lions out of Central Florida in the 3rd round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Smith was the starting RB for the Lions in his rookie season when he rushed for 976 yards. Last season the Lions cut Smith before the season started and then re-signed him after the Lions lost Jahvid Best due to a concussion during the season.

Last season Smith rushed for 356 yards on 72 carries in 7 games. The Lions backfield this season will consist of Jahvid Best, Mikel LeShoure and Kevin Smith.
