DDOT To Announce Final Service Changes

DETROIT (WWJ) - As a follow-up to the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) public hearings held last week, an informational meeting will be conducted Wednesday to announce the final results of the changes to the city's bus system.

DDOT officials say the changes consist of time-period adjustments only and do not entail the elimination of any bus routes.

Officials say the proposed changes are designed to increase the efficiency of bus service by significantly reducing the time passengers spend at bus stops.

The new changes will take effect on Saturday, April 28.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DDOT building located at 1301 E. Warren Avenue, Room 107, in Detroit.
